A strategic acquisition to strengthen expertise in maritime cybersecurity
Marlink, a company featured in theOdyssey Vintage Altaroc Odyssey , recently acquired Port-IT and is significantly strengthening its cybersecurity offerings for the maritime sector, an industry that is increasingly vulnerable to digital threats. Port-IT is recognized for its cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions, specifically designed to protect ships and remote management systems. Based in Rhoon, the Netherlands, the company boasts extensive expertise and a robust support infrastructure, including Security Operations Centers (SOCs) in Rhoon and Bangkok, from which it provides 24/7 service to more than 7,000 ships worldwide.
This acquisition is part of Marlink's global strategy to meet the growing demand for cybersecurity solutions in complex and remote environments. Marlink is creating a dedicated unit with over 130 certified cybersecurity experts, and deploying security operations centers in Europe, Asia and America.
