ASG Eye Hospitals is expanding its hospital network in India with two new strategic openings
The ASG Eye Hospitals Group, one of India's leading eye care providers, has taken another major step forward in its national expansion plan. With the support of its major shareholders as part of a sector consolidation strategy, the group has just opened two state-of-the-art facilities in Noida and Calicut.
This two-part initiative expands ASG's network to more than 160 centers across the country, strengthening a healthcare model that now treats more than 4.5 million patients each year. This expansion is supported by a total investment of $150 million allocated to the modernization of medical facilities and the acquisition of regional clinics.
A new facility in Noida for 24/7 care
A few weeks ago, ASG Eye Hospitals opened a new facility in Noida. This facility, which operates around the clock, offers specialized care for all complex eye conditions. Located at V-21A, Atta Market, Sector 27, it provides treatments for conditions such as cataracts, LASIK, glaucoma, retinal diseases, neuro-ophthalmology, and many others. The goal is to ensure that Noida residents have easy access to state-of-the-art eye care, even in emergencies or outside regular hours, including on weekends. The medical team at this new facility is composed of renowned doctors.
The Noida facility stands out from the local competition by having earned NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) certification, the highest mark of quality in healthcare in India. In terms of technology, the center features state-of-the-art refractive surgery platforms, including the cutting-edge Contoura Vision technology, which enables personalized corneal mapping for laser corrections with microscopic precision, surpassing standard LASIK treatments.
Expansion of the vitreous surgery department in Calicut
Meanwhile, ASG Vasan Eye Hospital in Calicut recently announced an expansion of its vitrectomy surgery department, an advanced treatment for retinal disorders. Thanks to the addition of continuously available retinal surgeons, patients can now access specialized care at any time.
Vitrectomy is a vital surgical procedure that restores vision in people with complex retinal disorders, thereby improving their quality of life. By bringing in surgeons trained at the country’s most prestigious ophthalmic institutes, the Calicut unit is able to treat cases of advanced diabetic retinopathy or retinal detachment within critical timeframes—often within two hours of admission.
An ongoing commitment to accessible care
ASG Eye Hospitals stands out for its commitment to providing high-tech care at affordable prices. With locations in key cities such as Calicut, Thrissur, Kochi, Kottayam, and Trivandrum, the hospital group is accessible to a wide range of people and accepts all insurance plans, including the ECHS program for veterans.
Patient feedback and testimonials regularly highlight this affordability combined with emergency care. Many families emphasize the relief they felt at being able to undergo phacoemulsification (sutureless) cataract surgery on a holiday, at no additional cost and with full coverage through their third-party payment plan.
With a modern infrastructure and services available 24/7, ASG continues to establish itself as a major player in India's eye care sector, transforming a fragmented healthcare market into a standardized, high-performing national network.
