These 100,000 meals were distributed at the More Than a Pet event, a community gathering in Los Angeles aimed at supporting families with pets and limited resources. Nulo's aim is to help households in difficulty to continue caring for their pets, without having to part with them. The American company committed to donating a meal to Humane World for every bag of kibble sold between April and June in nearly 450 independent pet shops across the country. Behind every purchase, one animal feeds another.
To give the campaign even greater visibility, several Olympic athletes joined Nulo. They include Caeleb Dressel (American swimmer, nine-time Olympic medallist), Ryan Crouser (American shot putter, triple Olympic champion), Gabby Thomas (American sprinter, five-time Olympic medallist), and Regan Smith (American swimmer, eight-time Olympic medallist). What they all have in common is a deep attachment to their pets, and the conviction that every dog and cat deserves a healthy, happy life. " I'm proud to support a brand that shares my values, and an organization that takes concrete action for animal welfare," says Gabby Thomas.

More than just a donation, this initiative underlines Nulo's broader approach to making animal nutrition a responsible and socially responsible business. Its high animal protein (+90%), low carbohydrate recipes are designed to meet the real needs of dogs and cats, while avoiding artificial ingredients or meat derivatives. Each formula incorporates patented probiotics and foods such as blueberries and sweet potatoes, to support digestion, energy and overall well-being. The Nulo story is first and foremost that of a man and his dog. Its founder, Michael Landa, a former biomedical engineer with a passion for animals, created the brand after realizing that many dogs were suffering from obesity and diabetes due to an industrial diet too rich in carbohydrates. Rejecting this "bad pet food", he quit his job, moved to Austin (Texas) with his Labrador Max, and set out on a mission to design a healthier, more natural food closer to the original diet of dogs and cats. From this conviction was born Nulo, a brand founded on animal welfare, ingredient quality and transparency, which today continues to promote a balanced and responsible diet for all four-legged companions.
