With the combination ofOverjet's AI technologies and AuraVue (Medit's new scanner), dentists can now view 3D images of the mouth and X-rays side by side in a single, simple, and interactive space. By combining 3D images with Overjet's AI-powered automated X-ray analysis, the platform transforms complex medical data into easy-to-understand visual aids, enabling patients to better understand their oral health and the treatments available to them. "When patients see and understand their situation in real time, trust is built, decisions are easier to make, and the quality of care improves. We are proud to partner with Medit to make this experience accessible to all practices, " said Wardah Inam, CEO of Overjet.
A traditional X-ray can reveal the presence of cavities, bone loss, or previous dental work. AuraVue goes further, making this information more meaningful by associating it with a corresponding 3D image that clearly shows the gums, inflammation, cracks, tooth alignment, color changes, and wear. The result is a visual and understandable treatment plan that helps patients accept the proposed treatment and strengthens the relationship of trust with their practitioner. Thanks to Overjet's artificial intelligence, the practitioner can simply point to an area of concern on the screen and immediately display the corresponding X-ray, with clear supporting information. AuraVue also allows you to generate a visual summary report with a single click, which is easy to share with the patient, a colleague, or as part of an insurance claim.
This alliance represents a major deployment lever for Overjet. By integrating its artificial intelligence into AuraVue, the Boston-based company is seeing its technology distributed within Medit's vast international network, which is present in more than 100 countries.
