NationsBenefits helps both public and private health insurers better manage the benefits offered to patients (such as dental care or financial assistance). It develops technological tools to streamline payments, verify patient eligibility, and facilitate access to care through numerous partnerships, including with 97 pharmacies in the Kinney Drugs chain and a network of 164 stores spanning 5 states. In practical terms, it makes it easier for patients to receive care and allows insurers to manage everything more quickly and smoothly.
NationsBenefits has just announced that it is breaking down structural silos in the dental sector to usher in a new era of oral care through a partnership with LightSpun, a U.S.-based AI company specializing in dental reimbursement. NationsBenefits is thus launching NationDental, a platform that bridges historically separate domains: financing and care.
This transformation addresses both clinical and economic challenges. While oral health is recognized as essential to overall well-being, a report from the NIH (National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research) indicates that one in four American adults still suffers from untreated cavities or lacks access to adequate preventive care. NationsDental, powered by LightSpun’s AI, aims to address this gap in a sector where administrative burdens and manual processes cost the healthcare system approximately $21 billion annually. The platform consolidates payments, patient identification, eligibility verification, and claims management within an integrated system, offering a more seamless experience.
“Dental care has long been hampered by fragmented systems, manual processes, and administrative inefficiencies that are increasingly ill-suited to today’s healthcare system. With NationsDental, we combine our platform, our proprietary Flex card technology, and a real-time infrastructure to simplify the experience for patients, practitioners, and insurers,” said Michael Parker, co-CEO of NationsBenefits.
