Databricks and Gusto, two companies featured in the Vintage Altaroc Odyssey 2021, have joined the Forbes Cloud 100 ranking for this 2023 edition, which lists the best private companies in the field of cloud computing (services, infrastructure and software platforms). The ranking takes into account sales growth, leadership and user satisfaction.
Ranked 2nd, Databricks offers industrial companies a platform enabling them to build cutting-edge generative AI models using their own data. Valued at $38 billion, Databricks employs around 5,500 people and recently acquired MosaicML for $1.3 billion.
Gusto, ranked 26th, has developed a digital human resources platform for SMEs. It offers both a payroll tool and health insurance for employees. Valued at $9.5 billion, it currently supports 200,000 corporate customers and employs around 2,400 people.
The official Forbes Cloud 100 jury is made up mainly of CEOs of public cloud companies.
