Since its inception in 2015 in Ohio, 80 Acres Farms has relied on 100% renewable electricity, consumes 95% less water per crop than conventional agriculture, and produces 3230 times more per square meter than traditional horizontal crops. Soli Organic specializes in soil-based cultivation. They use specially designed, sterile and optimized substrates and mixtures inside vertical farms. The new group brings together seven vertical farms, notably in Georgia, Colorado and Texascapable of producing around 7,000 tonnes of fresh fruit, vegetables, salads and herbs a year. In all, more than 17,000 retailers across the United States will be served thanks to logistics optimized to limit delivery times and guarantee incomparable freshness. At the heart of this new phase is GroLoop, the platform developed by Infinite Acres, a technology subsidiary of 80 Acres Farms. This integrated system combines engineering, biology and artificial intelligence to provide ultra-precise control of every growing parameter: light, temperature, humidity and nutrients.
