Located on Digo Road - close to the Huduma Centre and opposite the busy Nomaneno Bazaar - the new center has been designed to offer faster service, simplified access to the entire Sun King product range, and high-quality customer support. The opening marks an important step in the company's drive to expand access to affordable solar energy in Kenya, particularly in the coastal counties. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Victor Agandi, Sun King's Vice President of "pay as you go" sales for East and Southern Africa, said: "The Mombasa experience center reflects our ongoing commitment to electrifying homes and businesses across Kenya, particularly in areas still underserved by the grid. We're proud to offer a central space where customers can discover, test and purchase solar products tailored to their energy needs."
Sun King not only provides access to solar energy in areas where electricity is a scarce commodity. It has saved $7.2 billion in energy costs for all families equipped. In addition, Sun King products have prevented the emission of 28 million tonnes of CO2.
With over 3,000 employees and 62 languages spoken, the company recently won 3 awards at the Solar Week Kenya Leadership Awards.
