About RoC

In the cosmetics industry, creams and skincare products have long lacked rigorous scientific validation protocols. Founded in 1957 in Paris by pharmacist Jean-Charles Lissarrague, RoC radically transformed this landscape by creating the very first hypoallergenic skincare products, specially formulated for sale in pharmacies.

In the 1990s, the company sparked a true scientific revolution in the beauty industry. Its researchers were the first in the world to discover a method for stabilizing retinol (a powerful vitamin A derivative known for its anti-aging properties, but which is naturally very unstable). By successfully combining it with other antioxidants to ensure safe daily use, the brand set a new industry standard. Today, the effectiveness of its formulas is rigorously proven by more than 100 clinical studies and protected by 35 international patents.

Now based in New York, the company is riding a wave of exceptional growth, as evidenced by a 70% increase in revenue between 2020 and 2024. Building on this strong performance, RoC Skincare was acquired in early 2024 by the prestigious European investment firm Bridgepoint. Thanks to this strong financial backing, the brand is now rolling out a broad international expansion strategy, particularly in Europe and Asia, thereby solidifying its status as the world’s leading independent dermocosmetics brand.
