Thunes

Founded in 2016 (initially under the name TransferTo) and based in Singapore, Thunes has established itself as one of the world's largest payment networks. The company reached a historic milestone in April 2025 by raising $150 million in a Series D round led by Apis Partners and Vitruvian Partners, a move that significantly increased its valuation in a market that has become profitable.
Thunes' network, known as the Direct Global Network, now connects more than 130 countries and supports over 80 currencies. With more than 550 direct integrations, the platform provides access to over 7 billion bank accounts and mobile wallets. The company, which employs around 500 people worldwide, serves prestigious clients such as Uber, Deliveroo, Grab, Ria Money Transfer, and Veepee. It also strengthened its expertise by acquiring French fintech Limonetik in 2021, enabling it to integrate more than 285 alternative payment methods into its catalog.
