With the acquisition of Conexão Garantias, Opteven is taking a new step forward in its development in Europe, particularly in the Iberian Peninsula. The French group is launching in Portugal and strengthening its presence in a key territory.
The transaction involves the mechanical breakdown warranty business of Conexão Garantias, a company based in Maia, near Porto, which has developed a mechanical breakdown warranty business covering the design, distribution, and management of warranty products. The Portuguese business will be integrated into Opteven Iberia, which now combines operations in Spain and Portugal. This structure will facilitate coordination, the pooling of expertise, and the development of new offerings for customers operating throughout the Iberian Peninsula.
In Portugal, the market for spare parts and repairs is dynamic because the vehicle fleet is old and remains in circulation after the manufacturer's warranties have expired. This generates regular demand for diagnostic and repair services or coverage of breakdown-related costs.
With decades of experience, Opteven offers warranty and assistance services for motorists. The company works with car manufacturers and distributors in Europe, including the Volkswagen Group, and uses call centers to support customers and manage breakdown and assistance cases on a daily basis.
For Opteven, the challenge goes beyond opening up new countries. The group seeks to support customers operating in multiple markets with a consistent offering and uniform service standards.
