Its mobile payment platform was launched in 2004 in the Philippines, and enables its customers to manage their financial transactions, send and receive money, pay bills, make online purchases, or top up their cell phone credit. GCash is now partnering with Tablevibe, a SaaS solution for restaurants wishing to regain control of their online sales.
Through this strategic alliance, GCash and Tablevibe aim to make online meal ordering more accessible to Filipinos, while helping restaurants cut costs with reduced platform fees, gain direct access to millions of GCash users, and retain full ownership of their customer data.
Working with over 4,000 restaurants in the Philippines - including such popular names as Pickup Coffee, The Bistro Group, Kenny Rogers, Andok's, 24 Chicken, The Moment Group, Frankie's and Chooks-To-Go - Tablevibe manages the entire ordering process.
As part of this partnership, GCash has launched its new Food Hub feature, accessible from the app's home screen. By placing their orders directly with restaurants, customers benefit from exclusive offers and preferential prices on the new Food Hub feature, while enjoying reduced delivery charges, even at peak times. For example, The Bistro Group offers free delivery on all orders. Andok's offers free delivery to all new customers, while 24 Chicken and BOK Chicken apply the same prices as in-store, for both delivery and collection. "GCash solutions for the foodservice sector offer our customers an excellent user experience. GCash enables secure and convenient transactions: users can link their bank account, credit card or debit card to their GCash account to make payments online or in partner stores. The company aims to promote financial inclusion by offering services accessible to all, including the unbanked and underbanked.
