Easyfairs has become the new owner of EPHJ, Switzerland's largest annual trade show for high-precision, watchmaking and jewelry subcontracting, microtechnology, and medical technology. The event attracts nearly 800 exhibitors and over 23,000 visitors. The acquisition, announced in early June by the show's founders, André Colard and Olivier Saenger, reflects their desire for a thoughtful succession, ensuring the event's long-term future without compromising its core values.
"After 22 years of passionate commitment, we felt the time had come to pass on the torch. This carefully considered decision is part of a natural logic of transmission, linked to our history, but also to the desire to guarantee a solid future for the EPHJ Show. We are proud of the path we have taken and extremely confident in the choice of the buyer," they declare. The team led by Alexandre Catton (show director) will remain at the helm of EPHJ in order to guarantee both its continuity and its dynamism. The founding values, as well as the relationships established with the Swiss and international ecosystem, will be fully preserved.
Easyfairs, already positioned as one of Europe's leading trade show organizers with a portfolio of more than 110 events in 16 countries – including the Digital Accountancy Show (a must-attend event for accountants, firms, and fintechs) – and 870 employees, is committed to preserving EPHJ's "by professionals, for professionals" spirit while accelerating its international expansion. This strategic choice strengthens the events industry ecosystem, providing EPHJ with a solid platform to amplify its growth while maintaining its distinct sector positioning.
