The acquisition of Alavie marks a new stage in Visma's expansion strategy. Based in Italy, Alavie develops digital solutions for accounting firms, notaries, and consulting companies. Its platform automates up to 95% of compliance-related tasks, from anti-money laundering to personal data protection. By adding Alavie to its portfolio, Visma is not only strengthening its position in a country where the economic fabric relies heavily on SMEs, but also responding to a real local need. The Italian accounting and compliance market remains fragmented and still largely undigitized, with more than 120,000 tax advisors, often with limited tools at their disposal. In fact, only a quarter of Italian SMEs have integrated a structured digitization process into their business. The arrival of Visma will therefore accelerate the modernization of the sector and offer Italian professionals unified, efficient, and secure solutions. This acquisition complements Visma's already strong European network, with operations in France, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Central Europe.
This active expansion policy has been accompanied by steadily rising results compared to 2024. Annualized subscription revenues reached €2.96 billion , up 14.9% year-on-year; cumulative revenues since January amounted to €2.33 billion, up 12.9%; and operating profit (before certain acquisition costs) is up 13.3% to €780 million. In concrete terms, this means that more companies are renewing and extending their subscriptions to Visma software: more users are paying each month to manage their accounting, invoicing, or payroll, creating a solid and predictable revenue base. This momentum is also driven by pure subscription growth (+11%). Together, these factors point to a sustained growth trajectory: higher recurring revenues and accelerating sales, all of which support Visma's expansion in key markets.
