Visma has just published results up sharply on 2024. Annualized subscription revenues reached 2.96 billion euros, up 14.9% year-on-year; cumulative sales since January totaled 2.33 billion euros, up 12.9%; and operating profit (before certain acquisition costs) rose 13.3% to 780 million euros. In concrete terms, this means that more companies are renewing and extending their Visma software subscriptions: more users are paying each month to manage their accounting, invoicing or payroll, creating a solid and predictable revenue base. This momentum is also driven by pure subscription growth (+11%). Together, these elements point to a sustained growth trajectory: higher recurring revenues and accelerating sales, all supporting Visma's expansion in key markets.

The Norwegian champion's results owe much to its policy of geographic expansion, and the acquisition of Alavie marks a further step in this direction. Based in Italy, Alavie develops digital solutions for accounting firms, notaries and consultancy firms. Its platform automates up to 95% of compliance-related tasks, from anti-money laundering to personal data protection. By adding Alavie to its portfolio, Visma is not only strengthening its position in a country where the economic fabric is largely based on SMEs, but is also responding to a real local need.
The Italian accounting and compliance market remains fragmented and not yet fully digitized, with over 120,000 tax advisors, often equipped with limited tools. In fact, only a quarter of Italian SMEs have integrated a digitization process into their business in a structured way. Visma's arrival will accelerate the modernization of the sector, offering Italian professionals unified, efficient and secure solutions. This acquisition completes Visma's already solid European network, with operations in France, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium and Central Europe.
