Sun World develops and protects its own fruit varieties—primarily table grapes, stone fruits, citrus fruits, and mangoes—through one of the industry’s oldest and most advanced breeding programs. Its business model is based on licensing: rather than producing the fruit itself, the company enters into agreements with farmers around the world, who pay a royalty for the right to grow and market its exclusive varieties.
