In recent years, private companies and Private Equity players have become increasingly aligned in their efforts to achieve clean, sustainable growth. Issues such as climate change, biodiversity protection andfairness on boards of directors have become priorities for consumers and investors alike. The bottom line is clear: financial performance alone is no longer enough. Companies, and particularly those backed by Private Equity funds, must at the very least take into account their impact on their ecosystem, and some even have a positive impact on the world.
