In 2014, engineers François Cazor and Jean Maynier joined forces with the conviction that trade could be made more efficient and sustainable through ingenious data technology. They began to focus on the highly dynamic commodities markets, long characterized by incomplete, disparate and often inaccurate information.

The two entrepreneurs launched the first cargo tracking solution for the booming LNG market, which was quickly adopted by the entire industry. The Kpler success story was launched!

Kpler has extended its coverage to over 40 different markets (gases, liquids, dry bulk) and new segments of the raw materials supply chain (freight, inventory), while deepening its data and analysis offering (research, news).

Backed by constant user-oriented innovation, the company has grown rapidly and sustainably to become the undisputed leader in its sector. In 2021, Kpler acquired ClipperData in order to expand its position in North America and gain access to the unique coverage of this key region for global trade.Today, Kpler is 10 times larger than its nearest competitor in terms of sales and commercial footprint.
