Hirsch (formerly Vitaprotech)

A power plant, an airport, a government building, or a data center must know at all times who is entering, where they are entering from, and at what time. They must also immediately detect any attempted intrusion. These sites often use equipment from different vendors (access badges, cameras, detectors, barriers), which do not communicate well with one another. Security teams must therefore juggle multiple screens at critical moments.
Vitaprotech was founded to meet this need. Based in the Lyon region, the group has grown by acquiring recognized specialists in access control, perimeter security, and monitoring software. In France, these include Prysm and ARD. In the United Kingdom, it acquired TDSi. In the United States, it has been present through Protech since 2014. In 2024, the group reached a major milestone with the acquisition of the security division of the American company Identiv, owner of the Hirsch brand, which has been a leader in the protection of U.S. federal government buildings for over 40 years.
On January 1, 2026, the group adopted the name Hirsch and consolidated all its operations under this single brand. It now has more than 700 employees, including 180 in research and development, and generates approximately 160 million euros in revenue. Its operations span Europe, North America, and India.
With the support of Seven2 since 2022, the group continues to expand internationally. It is led by Eric Thord.
